Since 2005, physician Alexander Børve has had the vision to make health care more accessible to the citizen and involve the citizen in his own health, a concept coined by the WHO and called eHealth. The result has been the development of a mobile medical information service, where the citizen can ask a physician specialised in skin diseases (dermatologist) and receive a response within 24 hours. Today the service is at a Beta stage and further developments to reach more citizens are ongoing. Results so far show that about 70% receive self-care information, and about 30% are advised to see a physician face-to-face, which can prevent “patients delay”.
