Meet Evora Labs, building the autonomous operations layer for energy assets
Building the autonomous operations layer for energy assets, maximising returns across batteries, solar and wind

The problem
The energy transition is accelerating, but the way we operate energy assets hasn’t kept up.
Batteries, solar parks and wind farms rely on fragmented systems, endless alarms and manual troubleshooting. When something goes wrong, asset managers spend hours identifying the problem, coordinating solutions and dispatching technicians. Every delay means lost revenue and higher operating costs.
What Evora Labs does
Evora Labs is building the AI-powered operating system for energy assets, combining vendor-neutral control with intelligent monitoring to detect problems, diagnose root causes and autonomously resolve issues remotely within owner-approved limits.
Why it matters
Instead of simply generating alarms, Evora turns them into actions, helping owners reduce downtime, lower operating costs and maximize asset performance, while maintaining full control of their infrastructure.
Their vision is to make every energy asset autonomous.
Traction
They secured three paying customers in their first six weeks, covering battery storage and solar-related projects in Sweden.
How it started
Evora was born from a problem we experienced firsthand. While operating battery assets, the team saw how much time and money was lost managing alarms, troubleshooting technical issues and coordinating between disconnected systems. We realized that the energy industry didn’t need another dashboard. It needed an intelligent operations layer that could move beyond monitoring to actually solving problems.
The Evora Labs team
Why this team
Evora Labs was founded by Brandon Vargas (CEO) and Sajad Sharhani (CTO), combining deep energy industry expertise with experience building advanced control systems and AI-powered software.
Brandon brings 8 years of experience in the energy industry, having integrated and operated over 50 MW of battery storage across Nordic markets. His hands-on experience in energy asset operations, grid integration and market access gave him first-hand insight into the industry’s operational inefficiencies.
Sajad brings extensive experience building virtual power plants, energy management systems and IoT control infrastructure. He previously developed core energy technology at Recap Power and was a founding engineer at Y Combinator-backed Openroll.
Together, they combine the experience of operating energy infrastructure with the technical expertise to make it autonomous.
Why Sting
They joined Sting to surround themselves with experienced entrepreneurs and industry experts who can help them move faster and challenge assumptions. It is a diverse team supporting them in every aspect of the business.
Evora Labs is one of 21 startups in Sting Core Fall 2026. Meet the rest of the cohort in Meet the 21 startups joining Sting this autumn.
