Meet Matchly Care, matching children with the right foster families

Intelligent matching platform to prevent failed child placements

Jasmin Ben Chaouch, founder and CEO.

The problem

When a child in Sweden can't live with their parents, social services look for a foster family. Today, that match is often based mainly on age and location, leaving out the child's trauma, family dynamics and cultural context.

Failed placements cost Swedish society around 3 billion SEK a year. On top of that, social services spend roughly 2.6 billion SEK on consultants because of severe operational overload.

The core mission

Matchly Care aims to be the very first to log a crucial piece of data that currently does not exist anywhere in Europe: reliable, systematic tracking of how many placements actually break down, why they fail, and where the system breaks.

Across Europe, there is a total lack of national or standardized data regarding placement stability and breakdowns, forcing social services to operate blindly without essential metrics. Matchly Care is built specifically to bridge this gap.

What Matchly Care does

Its matching engine weighs more than 150 factors, aligning a child's needs and history with each foster family's real experience.

Caseworkers get a transparent match proposal with full documentation in seconds, and administrative work drops by 40 to 70%. All data stays in Sweden.

How it started

When building and operating our foster care business, it became obvious that the entire system relies on blind spots: there is a total lack of reliable statistics regarding failed placements, why they occur, and what they cost.
