Meet Regnora, building trusted AI agents for life-science compliance
Trusted AI agents for 10x more efficient life-science compliance

The problem
Before a medical device or medicine reaches patients, the company behind it has to prove that it follows a thick stack of regulations, and keep proving it every time a rule or product changes.
Much of that work means checking documents against requirements line by line. A gap analysis against the EU's medical device regulation (MDR) can take weeks, and registering a single product in the EU database EUDAMED can take 40 hours.
What Regnora does
Regnora gives life-science companies trusted AI agents that know the regulations and each company's own documents. They handle everything from auditing quality systems to updating documentation, cutting compliance work by up to 90% while experts stay in control.
Each agent is built for one narrow task and shows every step and source it used, so its work can be checked. One medtech customer finished an MDR gap analysis in under four hours, saving more than 80 hours of manual work.
The moment that stuck
I still remember a technician at the lab who conducted a risk assessment worthy of the gods. It aligned stakeholders, helped ensure the quality of a critical new process, and allowed us to anticipate errors that could have cost the company a fortune. To me, that's what compliance is all about: helping organizations keep their shit together.
David Buresund, founder and CEO
How it started
The founders saw firsthand how valuable compliance could be in life science when it was about establishing structured processes and asking the right questions. At the same time, they saw how unnecessarily inefficient many compliance processes were, and how compliance had become something people associated with bureaucracy rather than value creation.
They started Regnora because they believe AI can eliminate much of the administrative work that makes compliance painful, allowing people to focus on the parts that actually create value. But for that to work in life science, the AI and its outputs have to be trustworthy.
Why this team
CEO David Buresund helped scale ABC Labs to 28% of Sweden's national COVID-19 PCR testing capacity during the pandemic, later serving as VP of Engineering, CISO, and Data Protection Officer, with a strong focus on regulatory compliance.
CTO Thony Price brings extensive experience developing software for highly regulated companies. He previously worked as a senior consultant at Netlight and later served as Tech Lead and acting VP of Engineering at ABC Labs.
Why Sting
Their biggest challenge is building trust in an industry where quality can literally be a matter of life and death. They're introducing a fundamentally different way of working with compliance, and that requires more than just great technology.
The team hopes Sting can help them navigate that journey, challenge their assumptions and accelerate their path to market.
