Sting enlists more women at the helm – continuing to transform Sweden's tech industry
The Stockholm-based incubator and accelerator for tech startups, Sting, has recruited two new rising stars: Ebba Burman, Head of Marketing, and Charlotte Ekelund, Head of Investor Relations. These additions further sharpen Sting's team and solidifies the company's forefront position in the tech sector.
Ebba Burman, Head of Marketing
Ebba Burman boasts a vast background in communication and brand management roles in the US and UK (notably for the Swedish-American Chamber of Commerce, FACE Stockholm) and, most recently, the London-based company MOO. She now takes on the role of Head of Marketing at Sting to lead the marketing team.
— I am delighted to join Sting - working alongside an incredibly impressive team with a rich heritage and history as a startup powerhouse. Sting has a fantastic reputation regarding equality and driving diversity to ensure the scales are balanced and to be able to contribute to strengthen Stockholm's startup community, it was a no-brainer to jump on board and to work with so many talented people.
Charlotte Ekelund, Head of Investor Relations
With a background in economics, Charlotte Ekelund has a wealth of experience in recruitment and the startup world. Amongst other things, she co-founded and ran the successful tech company Teemyco. Charlotte now steps in as Head of Investor Relations at Sting, where her role involves assisting startups with their initial external funding rounds and connecting them with the right investors.
— I am excited to join Sting, working closely, helping early- stage startups raise their first funding rounds and matching them with the right investors. Joining a team so passionate about helping founders hands-on, feels great says Charlotte Ekelund, Head of Investor Relations at Sting. I’m also very impressed by the high female founder statistics in the program, and the share of females in the Sting team. Sting are really walking the talk
