Stockholm,Sweden, 05/23/24 - Rise Europa, a collaborative initiative aimed at bolstering Europe's presence in the global innovation race, is doubling down on its efforts to foster startup growth and international competitiveness across the continent. Despite Europe's distinguished reputation for cutting-edge research and innovation, startups often struggle to scale within the region, opting for expansion inAsia or the US instead. This trend results in significant value exiting Europe, presenting a pressing challenge for policymakers and stakeholders.

Formed in 2023 in Elmau, Germany, Rise Europa is a partnership of leading European startup hubs spanning 13 countries. The alliance aims to empower startup teams and elevate Europe's standing in the global tech arena by promoting collaboration and innovation.

"In our inaugural year, Rise Europa focused on nurturing collaboration to support startups, building a pan-European community, and promoting our shared vision," said Pär Hedberg founder of Sting. "We're more than a group of visionaries; we're driven to transform ecosystems and help startups thrive across Europe and internationally."

RiseEuropa unveiled the European Scale-up Navigator as part of its mission, offering startups valuable insights into international expansion and success within Europe's startup landscape. The alliance also introduced the EuropeanStartup Landscape, spotlighting the continent's thriving startup ecosystem. At its recent second summit in Madrid in April 2024, Rise Europa outlined ambitious goals for the future. By 2030, they aim to position Europe as the premier startup hotspot, with a third of the world's startups, scale-ups, and unicorns originating from the region. The objective is to transform Europe into a global leader in economic, societal, and environmental impact while maintaining its status as a premier destination for living and working.

Looking ahead, Rise Europa plans to launch a groundbreaking AI incubation program to ensure Europe remains at the forefront of this critical field. Additionally, Rise Europa will intensify its public engagements, participate in major events worldwide, facilitate partnerships between startups and established companies across borders, and champion its shared vision for Europe.
