Corey is an engineer, entrepreneur and technology leader with over 18 years of experience in sustainable energy and a PhD in Energy and Environmental Engineering. He has held CTO roles at SaltX Technology and Stella Futura and served as VP of Product at Polarium. Today he leads industrialisation and digitalisation initiatives, scaling electrification technologies towards commercial deployment, using data platforms, digital twins and AI to accelerate development.
His work spans industrial decarbonisation, battery and thermal energy storage, heat pumps and solar systems, with projects across Europe, the Americas and the Caribbean. Corey has co-founded three companies, including HeatAmp, and as a founding analyst at Deep Science Ventures he helped spin out two more, including HotGreen. Highlights range from developing the world’s first solar heating and cooling collectors to scaling electric calcination for cement. He has also led engineering, intelligence and software development for 35 MWh of battery storage projects, is a named inventor on five patents and has authored over a dozen scientific articles, most recently on battery storage for port microgrids.
Corey ran competitively on the track while studying engineering in Cuba. He still trains regularly, swears by intermittent fasting and has been known to spend almost as much time analysing his running data as actually running.
