Maximilian is Business & Project Controller at Sting, bringing a sharp eye for numbers and a founder’s instinct for what actually matters. Two years in audit at EY and a role as department controller at one of Stockholm’s leading technical universities gave him a solid grounding in financial control, structure and the details that keep a business healthy.

But the numbers are only half the story. Maximilian has been on the other side of the table too, reaching the final of SEB Entrepreneur Camp with his own business idea and running a tutoring business on the side. As president of Sweden’s oldest student sports association, he grew the club by four new sports and found three new revenue streams that turned the organisation from loss to profit.

Add ten years of work in retail, restaurants and service, a summer as an urban planner for the City of Stockholm, and a stint modelling in Milan, and you get someone who understands businesses from every angle and feels at home wherever the work is. The result is a controller who can speak both spreadsheet and startup, and a strong, hands-on support for the companies Sting backs.

🏀 Basketball is the go-to. Always up for a game, so consider this an open invitation.

🌳 Keeping a bonsai tree alive and deep into all things Japan, from knives and raku to card games, work culture, nature and yokai.

✨ Endlessly curious. Tell Maximilian about your favourite hobby and there’s a good chance he’ll want to give it a try.
